Despite well-established policies, the semiconductor industry still struggles to increase the ratio of women in leadership. How can we break through these “invisible barriers”? Female leaders from government, academia, and industry will share insights based on data and their experience, offering practical solutions to improve workplace systems and culture. This seminar is for women in diverse roles, managers with female team members, and those shaping the future of their organizations.

In Japan, the appointment of women to executive and managerial positions remains insufficient and continues to lag behind international standards. Furthermore, in science and technology?fields that form the foundation of sustainable development?the number of female students pursuing studies in STEM remains low.
Against this backdrop, the government is advancing initiatives to promote women's active participation in the corporate sector and to increase the number of female students entering STEM fields, particularly those where women are currently underrepresented. These initiatives will be introduced in this presentation by the Gender Equality Bureau of the Cabinet Office.
